Cookie Policy
In short: this website places no cookies on your device. Below we explain what that means, what external requests the page does make, and how you can control everything from your browser.
You will not see any window asking you to accept cookies. Not because we forgot it, but because there is nothing to ask about: the website sets no cookies, has no advertising pixels, and does not track you from one site to another.
We use a single traffic measurement tool, Cloudflare Web Analytics, chosen precisely because it works without cookies and without identifying you. Details under point 3.
Language note. This is a translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Romanian version prevails.

01 What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser, so it can remember something about you: that you are logged in, what is in your basket, which language you prefer. There are also cookies that help not the visitor but the website owner or advertising companies — those track which pages you visit and build a profile of you.
Romanian law (Law no. 506/2004) and the GDPR require your prior consent for any cookie that is not strictly necessary for the website to work. That is where the acceptance windows you see everywhere come from.
02 The situation on this website
We built ely-bass.ro without a single cookie. Specifically, here is what does not exist in our pages:

You can check for yourself: open your browser's developer tools (F12), go to Application or Storage and look at Cookies for ely-bass.ro. The list will be empty.
Why we chose this. A presentation website does not need cookies to work. Without them, pages load faster, no acceptance window gets in your way, and your data stays yours. It is a deliberate decision, not an oversight.
03 What external requests the page makes
Even without cookies, every web page loads resources. On our website two are fetched from third parties when the page opens:

Why Cloudflare and not Google Analytics. We needed to know which pages people actually read, so we can improve them. Google Analytics would have meant cookies, and therefore a consent window you would have to dismiss on every visit. Cloudflare Web Analytics gives the same aggregate figures without cookies and without identifying you — which is why the site stays clean. See cloudflare.com/web-analytics.
This request nonetheless means a transfer of data to Google LLC, a company based in the United States. We also state this explicitly in the Privacy Policy. If you want to avoid it entirely, you can block the domains above with a browser extension — the website will remain fully functional, the text will simply be shown in your system's default fonts.
Everything else — images, stylesheets and scripts — is hosted on our own server.
04 What happens when you click a link
The website links to external platforms: virtual tours, 3D models, videos and our social media pages. These are not embedded in the page — they open only when you click, in a new tab.
From that moment you are on that website, and it may set its own cookies, under its own rules:
- 3d-tur.ely-bass.ro and ely-bass.nira.app — the platforms hosting our virtual tours and 3D models;
- YouTube and Google Maps — Google cookie policy;
- Facebook and Instagram — Meta cookie policy;
- LinkedIn — LinkedIn cookie policy.
We do not control these services and receive no information about you from them.
05 The quote form
The form on the Contact page uses no cookies. The data you fill in is sent only when you press the submit button, through the Brevo service, which delivers it to us by email.
What we collect through the form, why, and how long we keep it is described in the Privacy Policy. If you prefer not to use the form, write to us directly at office@ely-bass.ro.
06 How you control everything from your browser
Even though we do not set cookies, it is useful to know how to manage them in general. Every browser lets you view, block or delete them:
You can also use private browsing, or extensions that block trackers. On our website you will notice no difference in behaviour.
07 If anything changes
The rule we hold ourselves to: we update this page before activating any new tool, not after. That is how we proceeded when adding Cloudflare Web Analytics.
If we ever add a tool that uses cookies or other technologies requiring consent:
- we will describe each cookie and its lifetime here, before activation;
- we will implement an acceptance banner with real choices — including the ability to refuse as easily as to accept;
- our stated preference remains cookieless solutions, precisely so the website stays clean and fast.
